Componibili 4955/59 Storage Unit by Anna Castelli Ferrieri for Kartell, 1969

$200.00
Sold

Anna Castelli Ferrieri was one of the first female architects trained in Milan who, with her highly influential 4953-54-55-56 system of injection moulded ABS cylindrical containers, helped move Kartell beyond the lab appliances and household accessories it had been producing and into the realm of furniture and modular units.

For sale is one vintage storage module with lid and original four metal castors. The unit shows signs of age through scuffs, dings and yellowing throughout. The door appears to have yellowed less than the rest of the unit with an even less affected white-ish strip that runs down along the left of the door where it appears to have been shielded from the light for a prolonged period of time. Photograph 5 shows shows a slight bend in the crossbar section that runs above the door.

Height 44cm / Diameter 42cm
